8 Harmful Food Combinations You Should Stop Eating Immediately
In today’s fast paced life, most diets comprise of healthy foods, but due to harmful combinations, these diets might not go far in promising good health.
Science suggests certain food combinations might land you into acidity, heartburn or an upset stomach.
The harmful effect of these combinations depends on the nature of foods and the complexity with which they are digested:
1. Yoghurt and Fruits
Why: Mixing fruits with dairy products reduces the digestive fire inside the body, and the bacteria in the yoghurt act on fruits to produce toxins
2. Meat and Starchy Foods
Why: Protein-rich meat digests in the stomach but starch gets digested in the small intestine.
Consuming the two together holds back the starch in the stomach producing toxins.
3. Fruits After A Meal
Why: Fruits pass through the stomach quickly, as they require very little digestion time.
