With A $300K Funding, Startup ‘Korra Jeans’ Is Set To Revolutionize Your Jeans
An Indian Jeans brand, Korra Jeans, has received funding worth $300k from Asha Motwani and few undisclosed investors – giving impetus to a brand that has sustainability and environment protection at its core.
Korra Jeans uses organic cotton thread and recycled raw materials. In order to make the customer feel closer to the manufacturer, the company has adopted an innovative technique where each pair of jeans is hand sewn by a single tailor.
Korra uses one of the purest denim that is priced in the range of $50 to $100 whereas other brands that use such denim, price their jeans over a $100.
The startup is based in New Delhi and is founded by Shyam Sukhramani in August 2013 who is credited for building brands of Levis and Dockers in India and abroad. Korra has a unique attitude of promoting sustainable products that are looking to strike a chord with the environment-conscious people.
